Alternative to car ownership
Client: Car Next Door
Project: Strategy, Brand & Campaign Ideas and Roll-Out
Collaborators: Jordan Stokes, Alex Creamer
Role: Creative Director

Car Next Door revamped its brand identity to leverage its success, challenge conventions, and highlight its distinct approach of liberating individuals and the environment from the "one person, one car" mindset. The redesigned visuals depart from traditional rental car norms, featuring an optimistic and inviting array of colors instead of the ubiquitous blues and reds.

The new logo, named 'James,' portrays a dynamic curved smile with eyes composed of the available car fleet, symbolizing a constantly evolving persona. James subtly adapts to situations, fostering a sense of understanding and empathy with customers throughout their journey.

We developed the overall brand strategy, encompassing new branding and communications, including Car Next Door's tone of voice, user interface (UI), and key messaging. By embracing an accessible and playful approach, the brand's fresh strategy aims to offer an effortless, affordable, and convenient alternative to private car ownership.
